Prizemoney Increase for Murwillumbah Cup

PRIZEMONEY INCREASE FOR MURWILLUMBAH CUP
The Tweed River Jockey Club today very pleasingly has announced an increase in Prizemoney for the Murwillumbah Cup to be held on Friday the 19th of August.

The Murwillumbah Cup run over 1550m has previously been conducted with prizemoney of $50,000 today’s announcement confirmed this year’s edition of the Murwillumbah Cup will be run with $70,000 prizemoney up for grabs.

The increase in prizemoney follows the announcement earlier in the year that the Murwillumbah Cup will be included as a “Big Dance Qualifier”. This comes after the Murwillumbah Cup Meeting was granted showcase status last year resulting in this years Murwillumbah Cup Meeting being the richest days racing ever to take place at the Tygalgah Circuit boasting $290,000 in total
prizemoney.

Tweed River Jockey Club CEO Timothy Booth said, “The Club is extremely proud to be offering substantial above minimum prizemoney. It certainly would not be possible without the tremendous initiatives put in place by Racing NSW including the Big Dance of which the Tweed River Jockey Club is very proud to be a part of”.
