The Tweed Coast Summer Racing Series will kick off on Friday 15th of December with the White Claw Christmas Raceday. The Tweed Coast Summer Racing Series has recently had a race date change with the third day of the series moving from Australia Day to Tuesday 23rd of January 2024 which allows Easter Saturday to be added to next year's racing calendar due to the ongoing track renovations at Port Macquarie.
The feature race of the series, the $34,000 CHG Integrated Wealth Tweed Coast Classic Final will be run on the second day of the series, Wednesday 27th of December, with the co-feature $27,000 Lotza Signs Ballina Cup Prelude. On Tweed Coast Classic Final day, we will host the Byron Bay Brewery Garden Party, a perfect wind-down at the races after Christmas. For only $50 per ticket, you will receive entry to the racecourse, entry to the Byron Bay Brewery Garden Party, 3 Byron Bay Brewery beverages (Lager or Sparkling Cocktails) and a burger (Beef or Chicken) with chips.
The Tweed Summer Dash will be the third day of the series and the final day on Sunday the 4th of February will host the Kingscliff Cup.
The last day of the series will also host the presentation of the Barry Charman Medal for Jockey of the Series and the Bernie Quinn OAM Trophy for Horse of the Series. The Barry Charman Medal will remain a 3-2-1 point system like previous years. The Bernie Quinn OAM Trophy will change format slightly. More details will be released shortly.
